Grid connection study
It shows how the plant connects to the grid: at which substation, at what voltage and with what works. The study is filed with the grid operator and is the basis for the grid connection permit (ATR).
A solar park starts with two questions: can it be connected to the grid, and is it worth building? The studies answer them before money is spent on structures and panels. We prepare the documentation and the studies; the grid operator endorses the connection solution and issues the grid connection permit (ATR).

It shows whether the project holds up: the technical solution, the costs and what the plant will produce.
Our own team, where it has the capacity and the required signing rights; otherwise, together with specialised partners. The quote states who signs each study.
The operator sends the endorsed grid connection study within one month for medium and low voltage and within three months for 110 kV or above, from the signing of the contract and payment for the study. The ATR is then sent within 10 calendar days. These are not the total duration of the project: the schedule depends on the capacity, the voltage, the complexity of the solution, the permits and the grid works required.
For large projects and for projects with storage, we check from the start whether they fall under the ANRE capacity allocation procedure, which guarantees are required and which technical requirements apply to storage installations.
A pre-feasibility service: solar potential, site constraints, the electrical grid in the area and a preliminary cost estimate. A nearby substation does not mean that it has free capacity, nor does it set the connection point.
We prepare the input documents required by the regulation and by the operator: the urban planning certificate, the site plan, the land rights documents and the technical data, depending on the project.
The grid connection study compares the technical options, the impact on the grid, the works required and the costs. It is prepared by licensed designers, under the regulated contract; the grid operator endorses the solution.
The ATR is issued by the grid operator. We prepare the documentation and represent you within the limits of our mandate, without promising approval of a particular capacity or solution.
After the ATR come the connection contract, the design, the permits and the works. The connection installation, the owner’s own installation and any grid reinforcement works are dealt with separately.
Support with the acceptance of the works, the checks and tests required, energisation for the trial period where applicable, demonstration of technical compliance, obtaining the connection certificate and final energisation, once the technical and contractual conditions are met.
The location, the capacity and the stage it is at. We will reply with the next steps.
The site, the calculations, the grid connection design and the permits, up to the building permit.
