An energy investor needs a single counterpart who reads a geotechnical report, a single-line diagram, a grid connection permit and an EPC contract clause with equal fluency.

SolarTraders is the engineering firm of the BuildOne® group. We act for developers, investment funds and lenders on solar, storage and high-voltage grid connection projects.

We carry out site studies, design and permitting. We represent the owner’s technical interests towards the grid operator, the EPC contractor and suppliers. After commissioning, we digitise the plant and track its performance.

Our documents are signed by licensed specialists and covered by professional liability insurance dedicated to each engagement.

Engagement

How we take on a project.

We work under a written engagement, with the discipline of a legal advisory practice: defined scope, named team, accepted liability.

  1. 01Conflict checkBefore any technical discussion, we check our ties to the EPC, designers and suppliers.
  2. 02Initial consultationWe read the connection permit, approvals and contracts, and tell you plainly what risks we see.
  3. 03Engagement letterScope, deliverables, stages, fixed fee. Each stage starts on your written instruction.
  4. 04Named teamExperts named in writing and a dedicated professional liability policy.
  5. 05Written opinionSigned reports, technical opinions and recommendations, delivered to the owner.

Our standard

Independence and accountability, written into the contract.

Art. 3.2Separate rolesWe do not act as EPC. Construction, installation and testing remain with the contractor.
Art. 7.6Conflicts of interestAny tie to the parties under review is disclosed in writing at once. What we design, we do not review as a third party on the same project.
Art. 11.1ConfidentialityProject information stays confidential during the engagement and for five years after.
Art. 7.4Professional liabilityA professional liability policy dedicated to each project, taken out on signature.
Art. 7.2Named teamExperts are named in writing before each stage and stay on the project.
Art. 11.2You own the deliverablesThey become the owner’s property on payment and may be shared with lenders and auditors.
